Key 'Taboo' Issues To Be Addressed With 'On The Couch' Sessions at Glasstalk
The programme has been announced for the next GlassTalk and guests can expect some fireworks when the event’s ‘On the Couch’ sessions address a number of key issues that have proved controversial this year. Of these perhaps the most emotive will be that of glass prices and Steve Sutherland of Dortech, who placed the petition on the 10 Downing Street website which called for ‘Lord Mandleson to investigate glass pricing activities currently being taken by the dominant glass suppliers to the UK’, will be On the Couch together with key industry representatives, to thrash out the biggest issue to affect the industry this year.
Dave Ruzicka, joint managing director of super-fabricator Sash UK will also be joining GlassTalk On the Couch. Dave has a strong view about everything but some of his more outspoken comments will appeal to anyone that has a problem with ‘Phoenix’ operators, ‘dominant’ systems…

Glasstalk Numbers Approach Last Event Total With 3 Weeks To Go
Double Glazing Installers, Window Fabricators and Conservatory Suppliers are continuing to book their places at GlassTalk, the networking event that was launched when Glassex was postponed in March, with numbers approaching the total reached in March but with 3 weeks to go.
Following the simple, effective format established at the first event, the goal is for more than 200 glass and glazing professionals to take part at the next GlassTalk, which will take place on Tuesday 3rd November at the de Vere Daresbury Park Hotel in Cheshire. Following requests there will be more ‘speed networking’ sessions to ensure that everyone attending has the opportunity to meet; the ‘On the Couch’ chat sessions will also be slicker with a number of powerful discussions with key industry personnel, with the audience definitely encouraged to participate.
